Community Partnerships
We love partnering in the communities we serve and are always looking for new partnerships. If you are interested in connecting, please reach out.
Tacony-Tookany-Frankford Watershed (TTF)
Our partnership with the Tacony-Tookany-Frankford Watershed (TTF) has focused on making sure the neighborhood immediately surrounding our current headquarters in Lawncrest is thriving. TTF's mission is to improve the health and vitality of our watershed by collaborating with our municipalities and leading our communities in education, stewardship, restoration, and advocacy.
Partnering on everything from equipment storage for major projects or hosting weekly volunteer train clean-ups, we love helping our friends at TTF build a cleaner, greener watershed and improve the lives of our neighbors.
New Kensignton Development Center (NKCDC)
Development Center (NKCDC) has focused on expanding access to composting services to all parts of Philadelphia. NKCDC advances social equity & economic empowerment by nurturing and creating opportunities for residents to live in, and actively shape, their neighborhoods of choice.
NKCDC provides a wide range of services— real estate development, housing counseling, small business assistance, corridor cleaning, workforce development, nutrition education, community health resources —to ensure residents across the Kensington, Port Richmond, and Fishtown neighborhoods of Philadelphia can remain, and thrive, where they choose to live.
Partnering on dveloping innovative models to expand neighborhood level composting options, we are thrilled to work with our friends at NKCDC to develop innovative models for urban composting that can be replicated in diverse neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia.
Saul High School
Our partnership with Walter B. Saul High School for Agriculure Sciences (Saul) has focused on education, student enrichment and composting. A public high school in Philadelphia, Saul promotes student leadership that makes a difference in our world.
Through diverse, hands-on opportunities rooted in an urban setting, Saul students apply their knowledge and skills to address modern environmental and agricultural challenges. Partnering on everything from student internships, student scholarships, in-class education and composting in a school environment, we love working with the students and staff at Saul to help teach the next generation the benefits of composting.
“We love having Bennett Compost as a partner in Tacony Creek Park! Their dedication to sustainability and waste reduction is vital to keeping our park clean and green, supporting our #CreekyClean initiative and the natural beauty of Tacony Creek Park for all to enjoy.”
